Anyone seeking a building permit must start in the Village Office by obtaining a Zoning Referral. There is no cost for this service, but you will need to provide the Zoning Administrator with a site plan, drawn to scale, showing the new construction and any existing structures with all setbacks and dimensions accurately identified. You must have a Referral in order to obtain a building permit at the County. Eaton County provides all inspections and enforces the building code within the Village.
